Sales Assistant
OVERVIEW
We’re on the hunt to find new team members to join our Cookie Bakery in Melbourne CBD! In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, handling payments, assisting with various tasks in front and back of house, including baking cookies (full training provided), organising staff shifts weekly and liaising with the HQ team with deliveries and upcoming events.
WE HAVE 2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
- Senior Sales Assistant (Full Time)
- Sales Assistant (Casual)
Shift & Schedule:
- Rotating Roster
- Monday – Sunday
- Within the hours of 7am – 10:30pm
- Public Holidays
Location: Degraves St, CBD
Start Date: ASAP
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Opening/Closing the store
- Front and Back of House: You will be there to accept the morning cookie delivery ready for baking from the get-go. All training will be provided on baking and decorating our iconic Choc Chip Cookies.
- Making soft serve/milk shakes
- Ensuring biscuit wall is fully stocked throughout the day
- Balancing the till/end of day reports
- Maintain and ensure compliance to ensure food quality and customer satisfaction are kept to a high standard.

- Full knowledge of our HQ Bakery, how it works and how to place custom orders online.
Senior Sales Assistant Specifics:
- Responsible for facilitating communication and sharing information between upper management and the team
- General care of the store, ensuring the team are following all procedures effectively
- Setting up for new products or cookies
- Problem solving and/or suggesting different processes to improve the day-to-day operations

- Organised and able to multitask
- Punctual and reliable
Senior Sales Assistant Specifics:
- Previous leadership skills in a hospitality environment
- Previous experience in cash handling and opening/closing the store
- Confident in guiding team members to adjust their approach to specific tasks.
